Project Brief

​

The project intends to analyse different Ordering Principles and Design Relationships. The first part of the exercise consists on the identification of shapes through an analysis of a cubist painting. Ordering Principles + Design Relationships must be combined into a series of frames to create an animation. The second part of the exercise  translates 2D findings (frames + animation) into a 3D modeling through the method of extrusion (Frame model). Void models will be later used as a formwork to cast a Stereotomic plaster model which will allow the student reveal space. [Model size: 6"x 6" x 6" ]
