The studio explores the concept of deep surface with new ideas related to the topic and elaborating on the effect of sectional vertical density.The studio aims to investigate variability with regards to materials concerning building envelopes, geometry concerning spatial ideas and innovative living-forms based on light efficiencies. 

The project is composed by three design research investigations:
Interior_ understanding the interrelationship created between shape, envelope, and interior space and applying and modifying the effect on natural daylight and natural ventilation.
Formwork_ understanding specific modeling tactics of early shape implications for MEP and structure.
Skin_ understanding building envelopes materials, ornament, and screens.
Program: The building proposal consists of an ECO_boutique  hotel with additional mix use in Chelsea NYC, close to the Highline.
